Seed & Stem
Seed & Stem is a personal motion project built around a technically demanding animation challenge.
The original styleframes by Sarah Beth Morgan presented a dense, detail-rich world that required careful structural organization to translate into motion. Every element — texture, light, depth, and rhythm — had to be precisely coordinated to preserve clarity and visual balance.
The core challenge was animating the plants in a way that felt truly organic. Rather than relying on simulations, every movement was crafted manually through the graph editor — refining curves obsessively, pushing timing, spacing, and micro-adjustments to an extreme level of detail.
Seed & Stem reflects our approach to motion design: meticulous, graph-driven, and grounded in the belief that natural movement comes from intentional control rather than automation.
